Active Communities Sponsorship Application

The Devonport City Council’s Active Communities Sponsorship Program supports events and activities that contribute to a healthy, vibrant and inclusive Devonport.

This funding helps community organisations deliver sport and recreation events that:

· Provide benefits to the Devonport community,

· Increase the capacity or reach of existing events,

· Promote Devonport as a “Living Well City”, and

· Support local business, tourism and community wellbeing.

The goal is to help bring exciting and engaging events to our city – from grassroots competitions to major showcases – that enhance our Living City.

Your application will be evaluated against assessment criteria.

Please note: Funding is limited. Council may offer full funding, partial support, or in-kind assistance, depending on your application and available resources.

Applications for the 2026-2027 Financial Year close at 9am on Monday, 9 March 2026.

Applications will be assessed, with a report considered at the Council meeting on 23 March 2026. All applicants will be notified following the Council meeting.
Successful Applicants will be required to report on their project within 8 weeks of the project date.
